Yesterday Michael from year 6 was recognised for his efforts at the 19th Sydney Archdiocesan Primary School Sports Awards. This is his third year in a row receiving this award. Micheal, a conscientious role model and leader within his school, has displayed exemplary sportsmanship in a range of sporting endeavours from his weekly sports lessons to gala days and representative carnivals. This year he broke the Discus & Shotput records at the MacKillop championships and followed with an outstanding performance at the NSWPSSA Carnival, where he not only won both events, but broke a long-standing record in the Discus (throwing 53.11m) which earned him the Queen Elizabeth II Trophy for Most Outstanding Athlete of the meet. Michael has always remained humble, despite his impressive achievements. Congratulations Michael!
